EPIDURAL STEROID INJECTIONS
Epidural steroid injections are the placement of a cortisone medication around the spinal cord, in an effort to reduce the pain and inflammation caused by nerve irritation. This is often a treatment of choice for herniated discs or spinal stenosis (pinched nerves). Epidural Steroid Injections are often given in a series of injections over time.
